Facilities

Built in 1978, the barn consists of 12 horse boxes all fully furnished with automated water bowls, hayracks, mangers and rubber mat flooring.

American barn style constructed in 1998 with 6 horse boxes complete with automated water bowls, hayracks, mangers and rubber mat flooring. It also provides shelter and feeding yard or horses during the colder winter months.

It includes an isolation box, kitchen, toilet/shower room, laundry, rug dryers, feed room and storage area.

40m x 20 m all weather arena with flood lights.

Constructed in 2014, the 35’ diameter horse exerciser accommodates up to 5 horses and is complete with steel roofing and paviour rubber floor.

Most of the land faces south and covers approximately 31 acres. The land is generously divided into 13 fields. All fields are extremely secure with surrounding fencing of posts, railing and sheep netting. The side of the land is also neatly garnished with blossomed hedges.

I can highly recommend Tankey Lake Farm livery, the facilities are excellent and very well-maintained and the owners and staff are great, nothing is too much trouble and the welfare of the horses always comes first. It’s a very well-run, friendly and relaxed yard, set in one of the most beautiful places in Wales, the hacking has to be seen to be believed, and there are regular clinics with top trainers in the outdoor manège. It really is the best yard I’ve ever been at and my horses have never been happier.

The facilities include safe and well kept turnout and use of the ménage, the hacking is second to none being on the edge of the Gower Peninsula and just a short hack to one of the top rated beaches – Rhossili. We always have peace of mind that our horses are being well cared for and we never have to worry about them, this is what every horse owner ultimately wants to find in a livery yard. The added extras of having some great friends on the yard, including Martin and Katrina and their family is what makes this yard one of the most unique of its kind.
